India is concerned about Jasprit Bumrah's availability for the upcoming ICC Champions Trophy 2025, which will be held in Pakistan and Dubai. Jasprit Bumrah is expected to miss the upcoming three-match ODI series against England, throwing doubts over his participation in the prestigious tournament.

Bumrah was forced to leave the field after bowling just one over after lunch in the final Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy due to back problems. He quickly changed into his training clothes and went to the hospital with some support staff for examinations. Bumrah returned to the dressing room before the match ended.

Fellow fast bowler Prasidh Krishna confirmed the problem during a press conference, describing it as a “back spasm”. Bumrah did not bowl a single ball in the second innings. India coach Gautam Gambhir did not provide any update on the severity of the injury. Bumrah had bowled more than 150 overs in the five Tests.
