Wimbledon announced plans to expand Henman Hill in time for championships in 2027.
The GB Bank, next to the court, obtained its title after the fans of fans flocked without tickets to the center's center to see the domestic champion exploits, Tim Henmann, on the big screen in the nineties and the Fine.
It is still one of the most popular places throughout England, and as part of the 150th anniversary celebrations within two years, it will be reshaped to provide 20 percent more capacity.
The developments, which will begin after the next year championship, will witness that the current levels are less in gradient and retaining the added walls to provide additional seats, while access to wheelchairs will be improved.
The new pergola, in the meantime, will provide a rain cover and shade from the sun.
Dibora Guevans, AELTC president, said: “Re -development of the world -famous hill, at the appropriate time for the 2027 championship, will allow more tennis fans to enjoy its unique atmosphere and a point of preference,” said Deborah Guevans, AELTC president.
“I am particularly pleased that these plans will increase access to the hill for our guests using wheelchairs or who have additional access.
“It is an exciting opportunity and we look forward to 2027 and the 150th anniversary of the first championship.”
