Speaking after today's match, Pat Cummins praised his team's performance, especially Steve Smith's efforts in the morning session. Cummins was happy to pick up a late wicket to gain an advantage in the game. He pointed out that breaking the 100-point barrier between Kohli and Jaiswal was a decisive turning point.
“Smith was fantastic this morning. It's good to get those late wickets at the end. He sets the game up for us. Yes, I hope I can do that on every ball. It rarely happens, so you take it when it comes. (On his ball),” Cummins said. : βTo sack KL Rahul.β
“Really happy with the way I bowled and the rest of the players too. Yeah, that's it. 100-run partnership and they were looking solid. Marsh almost made the breakthrough for us. But yeah, the wicket is within reach at any time. But that wicket gave us a little chance.” I feel like I'm letting everyone down when he's not bowling. Scotty (Boland) has been fantastic every time he's come into the team.
