Shawn: Trent is a big boy. He will make his own choice. I would love to stay. The sadness that hovers over all of this is that we fans fear he will end up like Michael Owen, trading his legendary status for a trip to Spain. Hopefully when Alexander-Arnold returns to Anfield he will have a better reception than Owen (he was largely ignored). Madrid is a great club and a great city. But it's not Liverpool!
Ross: Trent has been at the club for 20 years and won everything ever, so you can understand if he wants a change of scenery. What he needs to understand is that Madrid fans will never adore him as much as he does at Anfield. He will never be able to lead the club he supposedly loves and he will never win the Ballon d'Or no matter what club he plays for. He will always be welcomed at Anfield, but not with open arms, his legacy tarnished like Owen and McManaman.
Fraser: While Salah and Virgil have made it clear they want to stay (and I'm pretty confident they both will), Trent has been quiet throughout which makes me fear the worst. What irritates me the most is that he is trying to leave for free and Liverpool are not getting anything in return. This is very disappointing of Trent and very selfish of him as well, I just hope this doesn't sabotage or derail our campaign. The good thing is that Connor Bradley is about to return.
Tommy: Of the three players, he is the one we can afford to lose. He is a luxury player and often times does not live up to the massive hype surrounding him. We have a replacement ready so he can leave. It's getting boring now. He, like Owen, will warm the Madrid bench.
Inton: First and foremost, as a lifelong Liverpool fan, losing Trent would be a massive blow… and this is a no-brainer. However, I think he's made up his mind and who can blame him? When Real Madrid knocks on the door, you have to answer it! Having built his friendship with Jude Bellingham through his duty in England, the settling-in process will be much easier as well. It is now up to Liverpool to try and get the best deal possible (if it's not too late).
