Pakistan national cricket team suffered a heavy blow during the second test against South Africa national cricket team. Young opening batsman Saim Ayyub has been ruled out of not only the ongoing match but the next six weeks of cricket.
Pakistan National Cricket Team Opening batsman Saim Ayyub has faced a horrific injury during the first day of the ongoing second Test against the South Africa national cricket team. The final match of the two-match series between the two teams will be played at Newlands in Cape Town.

In an attempt to save the border, Ayoub sprained his ankle and appeared to be in severe pain. The Pakistani opening batsman was unable to walk properly and was carried from the field on a trolley before being taken for scans to analyze the severity of the injury.
But tests revealed that Ayoub suffered a fracture in his ankle and would not participate in the match again. The batsman will also be out of action for around 6 weeks, meaning he could miss the tri-series against the New Zealand national cricket team and the South Africa national cricket team.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) confirmed Ayub's injury, saying he will be out of action for six weeks. Al-Ittihad confirmed that the player will remain with the team and will return to Pakistan with the team after the match ends. The statement stated:
Pakistan opener Saim Ayub has been ruled out of competitive cricket for up to six weeks due to a fracture in his right ankle sustained while playing on the opening day of the men's second cricket Test against South Africa at Newlands on Friday.
“An MRI performed on Friday afternoon confirmed the fracture, which was stabilized with a medical ankle boot. Although Saime will not participate further in the Test, he will remain with the team and will return to Pakistan with the team after the match.”

Saim Ayub's absence will leave a huge void in the Pakistan national cricket team, as the opening batsman has been in fine form. He looked in great form with the bat in the ODI series, and after that, he looked in good touch with the bat in the first Test.
Saim Ayoub scored 14 points in the first half and followed that up with 27 points in the second half. The opening batter will be destroyed by the way he is left out. The ongoing match will be tough for Pakistan.
