Ross County investigates racist abuse of goalkeeper


Ross County Football Club is investigating the racist abuse suffered by goalkeeper Jordan Amisah following the club's 2-1 away win over Aberdeen.

The 23-year-old German, who is of Ghanaian descent, shared a photo on Instagram of a monkey emoji and racist insults he received from an anonymous account.

Amisa accompanied it with the comment: “There are still some people who are brainless and have too much time on their hands.”

The club said it was “aware of the racist abuse” Amissah received and was supporting the player after Thursday's match.

Ross County said in a statement: “The club fully supports Jordan and will liaise with the relevant authorities to assist in our investigations.”
