Rohit Sharma injured his knee while batting in the nets
In the run-up to the match, India trained hard. Not only this, they also faced injury concerns, the biggest of which was skipper Rohit Sharma suffering a knee knock. The captain was injured while hitting the net and appeared in pain.
Rohit was also seen wearing an ice pack around his knee and was constantly monitored by physiotherapists. However, there was nothing serious as the batsman looked fine and he himself confirmed that he is fit and will play the next match of the series.

Rohit also spoke about the training pitches, saying they were offered used surfaces but they will practice on the new pitch today. He added that they will make their plans accordingly. Speaking to reporters, he explained:
“The knee is fine. Nothing has changed since the last time I spoke. We have had two sessions, what could change? I think those pitches we have trained are used pitches. Today is the only day we will get a new wicket. We will go and see how it is.” “Train accordingly.”
1-1 It's a fair reflection of how both teams played – Rohit Sharma
Rohit also spoke about his team's performance in the series, saying that it is up to the brand. He pointed to the fight the team showed in Perth and also admitted they did not play well in Adelaide.
He concluded by saying that the series being tied at 1-1 after three matches is a fair reflection of how the two teams played. He explained:
“It was good. We were also lucky with the attitude the boys showed after they gave everything they could for 150 and then came out for 100 in Adelaide, we didn't play well, there wasn't much in Brisbane. After 3 Tests, if you look at the score 1- 1, this is a fair reflection of how both teams play.”
Rohit Sharma will be keen to lead from the front in the last two matches of the 2024-25 Border-Gavaskar Trophy. The captain has been under serious pressure due to his poor form as he has only managed 19 points in the two matches he has played. There have been a lot of calls regarding his retirement as well and the batsman will want to silence all his critics with the bat in the next two matches.
