India captain Rohit Sharma got frustrated at a fan's request during the training session at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) ahead of the Boxing Day Test against Australia. The Indian players finally had their first training session on the new wicket in the outer nets of the stadium.
After the training session ended, Rohit returned to the spectators who surrounded the nets to watch their favorite stars training. As Rohit started walking towards the dressing room after his encounter with spectators, a young girl asked the Indian skipper to call Shubman Gill.
Rohit Sharma waved his hand and indicated that Gill had already gone after completing his training session. But the fan was adamant and kept asking Rohit to call Gill. This frustrated Rohit prompting him to say out loud, “Kaha se bulau (How can I get it).”

While speaking to RevSportz, the girl later clarified that she is a huge fan of Shubman Gill. The fan admitted that she was late, but that was due to her health condition, as she was wearing a bandage on her broken leg. She also wished Shubman Gill best wishes for the upcoming match and wants him to get back to fitness.
“My leg is broken. She put a bandage on and came. I saw him yesterday briefly, but I couldn't say anything because I started crying. I came a little late today because of my leg and hence I couldn't meet Shubman (Gill). One of Shubman Gill's fans said: “But I hope he comes back.”
Shubman Gill's batting form
Shubman Gill has found it difficult to move forward with this series so far. The 25-year-old has scored 60 runs in two Tests so far at an average of just 20 runs. Being the No. 3 batsman for his team, India want more runs from Gill at the top.
He is seen as a future star in Indian cricket but needs to show his value with the bat. Although Gill has been impressive in home Tests, he has struggled in away Test matches since he was on 91 at the Gabba during the 2020-21 Border-Gavaskar Trophy.
A lack of mobility and a tendency to play in an aggressive manner often caused problems for Jill. He has played 31 Tests so far and has scored 1860 runs at an average of 35.76. The right-hander has hit 5 hundreds and 7 fifties in his career so far.
Rohit Sharma's struggles continue
Not only Shubman Gill, but Rohit Sharma too is struggling to find his level. Rohit has scored 19 runs in two Tests so far at an average of 6.33. He missed the first Test and joined the side for the second Test match.
The Indian captain has changed his batting position to No. 6 after KL Rahul's success in the top order. But Rohit's struggle for runs continued. India need to field two of their best players to put Australia under pressure.
