Revealing the winners of the 2025 World Sports Photography Awards


This iconic photo of Brazilian surfer Gabriel Medina, taken by Jerome Brouillette, won the overall winner at the World Sports Photography Awards.

Brouillette took the photo During the surfing competition at the Paris Olympics.

From a boat on the side of a wave in Tahiti, Brouillet captured an image of the city suspended in the air, as if standing on solid ground, while his board mimicked his stance.

Below is a selection of gold, silver, bronze and special benefit awards across all 24 award categories, which is now in its fifth year.
