The Pakistan Super League (PSL) has found itself at the center of the storm, with Multan Sultans owner Ali Tareen making explosive claims about the lack of commitment from the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to the league. Ali Tareen has sent shockwaves through the cricketing world, as he claimed that the PCB is not fully supporting the PSL, treating it more as a burden than an asset.
Despite reaping the financial benefits from the Pakistan Super League, the Pakistan Cricket Board sees its domestic franchise league as a franchise-controlled entity rather than a joint cricket venture, according to Multan Sultans owner Ali Tareen. Taryn pointed out that there are snakes throughout the Premier League.
Multan Sultans owner accuses PCB of treating PSL as a burden
The owner of Multan Sultans also claimed that internal politics and intra-personal clashes within the PCB are hampering the growth of PSL. He further revealed that decision making is influenced by personal agendas and not merit. He openly claimed that the PCB doesn't really care about the PSL, leaving everything to the “snakes”.
“The PCB has the least control, even though they have complete control, the least control they have is over the PSL. There are franchises and others involved. They are fed up with this. They want us,” Multan Sultans owner Ali Tareen said on Relukattay's YouTube channel. To do what we want. We do what we want and that's the whole PCB thing, which is focused on the local leagues and the local players and the people who work in the PCB year-round.

Taryn also pointed out that “PSL runs for a month a year, so they don't care about PSL. PCB doesn't feel that PSL is ours. They feel these are privileges. They get TV time. They get benefits. We don't get any Benefit. So, they don't care. They have financial benefit from the PSL, but the snakes' ego is at stake. If you bring people on merit, they will think logically. There are snakes in the entire PSL.”
Ali Tareen said: “PCB doesn't care about the PSL, they don't want to feel that this is ours. There are snakes sitting in the entire PSL administration and taking decisions.”

Meanwhile, the Multan Sultans owner has shockingly blamed the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) for ruining Ehsanullah's career. Ali Tareen claimed that Ehsanullah's surgery was performed by a friend of a PCB official, which left a lot of scars that can never be removed.
Ehsanullah suffered an elbow injury during a white-ball match against New Zealand in April 2023. The right-arm fast bowler, also known as Matta Express, is one of the fastest bowlers in Pakistan, but is still recovering from surgery. There is no update on his fitness and return yet.

Ali Tareen blames PCB for ruining Ehsanullah's career
Ali Tareen has revealed a heartbreaking update on Ehsanullah, saying the Multan Sultans pacer's career as a 150kph bowler has ended due to complications from a previous surgery. Despite expert intervention, the damage is irreversible, leaving the player unable to fully straighten his arm.
Taryn pointed the finger at the PCB, blaming their handling of the Ehsanullah situation for this tragic outcome. He concluded by saying: “I am very sad for Ehsan Allah. He recently met with the expert. He said: 'I can do the surgery, but no matter what I do, there is a lot of his previous surgery.'
“No matter what I do. He'll never be able to throw the same way because he doesn't have a straight arm.” Thanks to the PCB, Ehsanullah's arm will never be perfectly straight. So, it's very unfortunate. It's a very unfortunate story, but that's the way it is, Ihsanullah can't be a 150kph player again.
