“State Housing Board rules state that plots meant for residential purposes should not be used for commercial gain. We have received some complaints. I have asked officials to investigate the matter. If the allegations are found to be true, a notice will be sent,” TOI quoted JHB president Sanjay Lal Paswan as saying. : “It will be issued to (MS) Dhoni.”

If the accusations are proven true after completion of investigation, a legal notice will be sent to MS Dhoni by the Jharkhand Housing Board. After notification, further action will be taken accordingly.

Where does MS Dhoni currently live?

Although MS Dhoni was given this land for residential purposes, he does not live there. The former India captain currently lives on Simaliya Ring Road which has a seven-acre facility.

It is located approximately 25 km from the award-winning property on Harmo Road. It took nearly three years to build Donnie's new home where he currently lives with his family. The former India captain and his family moved here in 2017 when he was still an active international cricketer.

Dhoni can be seen several times around his current residence doing various activities like farming, cycling and meeting his fans. Despite being a huge international figure, he still prefers to stay in his home city.

When did MS Dhoni retire?

MS Dhoni retired from international cricket in August 2020. His last international match was the 2019 ODI World Cup semi-final against New Zealand where India suffered a heartbreaking defeat.

Despite retiring from international cricket, Dhoni continued to play in the Indian Premier League over the years. He even led Chennai Super Kings to win the Indian Premier League in 2023 but handed over the captaincy to Ruturaj Gaikwad ahead of the 2024 IPL season.

However, CSK had a poor season and were unable to qualify for the playoffs. Over the last few years, Dhoni has changed his role to a top-order batsman and likes to make an impact with the few balls he faces.

The legendary wicket-keeper-batsman has scored 161 runs in 14 matches in IPL 2024 at an impressive strike rate of 220.55. Even though he is not in good physical condition, he has shown his dedication to the franchise and will also feature in IPL 2025.
