The Professional Football League (PFL) has officially legalized elbow strikes in its fights, having previously banned the technique.
The MMA promotion runs a league system in the United States and Europe which means the best fighters can compete up to four times a year.
As the fighter became more likely to hit elbows, the technique was banned.
But after elbowing was allowed in the 2024 EFL Finals last November, chairman Don Davies announced that strike action was now a fixture in the EFL.
“New year, new adjustments,” Davis said on X.
“You asked for elbows, (PFL) gives you elbows. All elbows. All fights. All the time.”
The PFL has not yet announced any start dates for the 2025 season, but it does have a specific start date for the 2025 season. Bellator event scheduled for January 25 In Dubai.
