The discovery of rat droppings at Manchester United's Old Trafford stadium has led inspectors to downgrade the football club's food hygiene rating.
Although no waste was found in the actual kitchens, the council's environmental health officer downgraded the club's rating from four to two out of five, after a visit in November.
The club said a “robust pest control regime” has been put in place on the grounds, which includes “multiple weekly checks” of all catering areas.
Trafford Council said it was working closely with the club so “necessary improvements” had been made.
The Food Standards Agency's rating system ranges from 0 (urgent improvement essential) to 5 (very good).

About 250,000 people each season dine at Old Trafford, eating food prepared on the grounds, according to the club.
The club's pest control teams were contacted shortly after the rodent droppings were discovered.
“If incidents of this nature occur, immediate and appropriate action will be taken,” the club said.
