Luke Littler beats Michael van Gerwen in the final to win the 2025 World Darts Championship

The incredible Luke Littler has etched his name in darts history with a crushing 7-3 win over Michael van Gerwen to become the youngest ever PDC World Championship winner.

The 17-year-old was in unstoppable form as he raced to a 4-0 lead, and despite Van Gerwen getting three sets on the board, he never threatened to come back and was always in Littler's rearview mirror.

Van Gerwen was the youngest previous champion when he won the first of his three world titles in 2014 at the age of 24, but darts phenom Littler smashed that record with the same ease he handled the Dutchman on the Alexandra Palace stage.

Warrington teenager Littler averaged just over 102 and threw 12 180s on an advanced darts course as he claimed the £500,000 top prize and lifted the Sid Waddell Cup for the first time.

And with the way he's dealt with the pressures of being the favorite and the way he's performed still three weeks away from his 18th birthday, it's certainly just the first of many.
