In the absence of Anthony Davis, LeBron James and Max Christie stepped up to lead the Lakers to victory over Portland at home as James and Christie combined for 66 of Los Angeles' 114 points.
Christie finished as the game's second-leading scorer, tallying a career-high 28 points on 9-of-16 shooting, and connecting on five of his nine 3-point attempts. He also had three rebounds, two assists, and two steals.
LeBron James scored a game-high 38 points on 15-of-25 shooting, and buried 7-of-10 3-pointers, including a clutch 27-footer in the final minute of the game to put Los Angeles ahead 110-102. James also had three rebounds and assisted on eight baskets.
Austin Reeves concluded a heroic performance in front of a friendly crowd with a performance that bordered on a triple-double. Reeves finished the match with 15 points, 11 assists, and 8 rebounds.
