Indian cricketer KL Rahul showed some excellent presence of mind on the field to score a brilliant catch on day two of the fifth Test match against Australia in Sydney. KL Rahul's catch led to the dismissal of Australian pacer Mitchell Starc at the Sydney Cricket Ground on Saturday, January 4.
The Australian team started the second day's match with a score of 9-1. However, they lost regular wickets against the Indian bowling attack. Starc reached the crease when the home team lost seven wickets for 162 runs. However, the left-handed batsman failed to contribute to the team with the bat at a crucial stage.

The dismissal occurred in the 47th over of Australia's first innings. Nitish Kumar Reddy bowled a long ball which Mitchell Starc tried to defend. However, the ball caught the outside edge of Starc's bat and headed towards KL Rahul, who lunged forward to catch the ball at second slip.
The ball seemed to die at slip, but Rahul managed to secure it cleanly. The field referee referred the decision to the third referee, who confirmed that the fishing operation was legal. With the dismissal, the Australian team was down to eight wickets, with Starc out with the score at 1 (4).
