Harbhajan Singh, the former Indian off-spinner, took a brutal dig at MS Dhoni as he praised Team India skipper Rohit Sharma for calling him out for the ongoing Test against Australia. While taunting Dhoni, he said that no captain has done that despite losing the series time and again in overseas conditions.
India national cricket team captain Rohit has received a team call-up for the ongoing fifth Test against the Australia national cricket team. The match between the two teams will be held at the Sydney Cricket Ground in Sydney and is also the final match of the 2024-25 Border-Gavaskar Trophy.
Rohit Sharma admitted that he tried all the things, but it didn't work for him and hence he decided to give up on himself.
Rohit spoke to the media on the second day of the ongoing match and said that he resigned for the sake of the team. He admitted that he tried everything, but it was not in his favour, and hence he decided to leave himself for the ongoing match and hand over the captaincy to Jasprit Bumrah.
After Rohit was dropped from the team, Harbhajan Singh shared his opinion on the same, but the former India National Cricket Team player was called out by a fan on social media. He said the cricketer-turned-commentator should not share his judgment as he slapped Sreesanth in a match.
The fan added that Harbhajan Singh failed to create a story that Rohit pulled out of the match. He stated that everyone knows that the captain of the India national cricket team was dropped because he failed to score runs with the bat. The fan said:
“You are the same man who slapped Sreesanth in a match, please spare us your judgment on who is good and who is bad. This team does not belong to Mr. Gurunath Sharma, and his son will continue to play despite his negative contribution.”

However, this did not go well with Harbhajan Singh as he lashed out at the fan saying that he should listen to his interview with Sharma before saying anything. He also praised Rohit Sharma while taking a dig at MS Dhoni. He confirmed:

Rohit's decision to drop himself came on the back of poor results in the Test series. The batsman has failed to get going in the last few matches hence allowing Shubman Gill to take a place in the team. It remains to be seen what his future in Tests will be.
