The British Fran Jones was helped in the court in a wheelchair after its collapse during a match in Colombia.
The 24 -year -old was trying to work in the ninth match of a third governing group in Bogota when she fell to the ground.
Jones, the fifth number of British, was unable to finish the Colinctis Cup match in the first round.
“Because of a material issue, Francesca Jones withdrew from her match against Julia Rira on 6-2 5-7 5-3 in favor of the Argentine,” read the Collasuite Cup statement.
“We hope the British tennis player is a rapid recovery.”
Meanwhile, Heather Watson came out of the Charleston Open Championship after a straight defeat by Irina Shimanovic in the first round.
The seventh British number is hit 7-6 (10-8) 6-4 by the high worn world No. 215.
