Curmel Moton returns on the Benavidez-Morrell PPV undercard on February 1st

Lightweight prospect Curmel Moton will reportedly fight on the undercard of David Benavidez vs. David Morrell on February 1st in 40 days on PBC on Prime Video PPV at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

Benavidez-Muriel Undercard

The unbeaten 18-year-old Moton's opponent and the rest of the card have yet to be announced. This is probably not a high-profile name for Moton, as he is still a teenager and is being matched very carefully by his promoter.

It will be interesting to see what division the 5’4″ Moton (6-0, 5 KOs) will compete in this contest. He weighed 139 3/4 pounds in his last fight against Hilario Martinez Moreno on October 12 in Philadelphia. For Moton, who already has weight issues at 18 years old, this suggests he will reach welterweight at some point soon and be fodder for the monsters in the division.

Although Moton destroyed Moreno in the first round, him appearing at overweight, near the 140-pound limit, is a red flag that he may have to move up to light welterweight soon. At 5’4″, Moton is undersized for this division and will have problems against taller fighters. He was designed like a square fire hydrant, and you could tell by looking at him that he would have problems if he moved to level 140 or higher.

Build a record

Moton is one of Floyd Mayweather Jr.'s henchmen, and is expected to accompany him slowly like he did to Gervonta “Tank” Davis, feeding him treats. To build a record To create a money maker.

If Moton follows the same scenario as Tank, he may not be involved in a 50-50 fight until late in his career when he is in his 30s. Tank has not yet reached 50-50, and he has been in the professional game for 11 years. So, what does this tell you about how to bring in Moton? You might think Moton wouldn't be brought in like Tank, but he certainly will.
