Former Irish international Chris Farrell has been sacked by French club Oyonnax following his conviction last month.
Farrell, 31, was sentenced to four years in prison, suspended for two years, for failing to prevent rape.
The court was told that County Tyrone-born Farrell would not be sent to prison, but would have to wear an electronic tag for two years and remain in France.
In the trial at the Cours d'Esis stadium in Bordeaux, former Ireland Under-20 player Denis Coulson was sentenced to 14 years in prison after being found guilty of raping a woman in Bordeaux in 2017.
The two men were on trial along with three other rugby players. All five men were teammates at FC Grenoble.
Loic James, 30, from France, was convicted of rape and sentenced to 14 years in prison.
Rory Grace, 34, from New Zealand, was convicted of rape and sentenced to 12 years in prison.
Fellow New Zealander Dylan Hayes, 30, was given a two-year suspended prison sentence for failing to prevent a crime.
