In-form Chelsea have a chance to move to the top of the Premier League table on Sunday afternoon.
Enzo Maresca and his team were quick to temper expectations amid their long unbeaten run that has them in the title discussion. Without a loss since October, Maresca's team is two points behind the league leaders Liverpool Heading to work on the weekend.
These are the types of fixtures that will define the Blues' campaign, with Goodison Park often proving a difficult place to visit for the west Londoners. While the great Chelsea Sides typically prevailed in the blue half of the Mersey, and lesser iterations faltered.
Maresca suffers from a host of defensive absences ahead of the match, notably the absences of Marc Cucurella, Reece Jamia and Wesley Fofana.
here 90 minutes Expected Blues lineup.
Goalkeeper: Robert Sanchez – Things have not been easy for Sanchez this season, and he is a player Chelsea will certainly look to promote. However, the Spaniard was a big reason why they overcame Brentford last weekend.
Right-back: Moises Caicedo – We've seen Caicedo fulfill this role several times this season, and Everton's physical midfield could convince Maresca to fill the midfield with dueling monsters.
Centre-back: Tosin Adarabioyo – With Wesley Fofana and Benoit Badiashile out injured, Tosin is the next man up on Chelsea's centre-back depth chart.
Centre-back: Levi Colwell – There has been a revolving door alongside him, but Colwell has been a consistent player on the left side of Chelsea's defense this season.
Left-back: Renato Vega – Mark Cucurella is suspended but Maresca has back-up options. Malo could opt for Gusto at left-back, but Vega could be a better fit if Caicedo switches from right-back. Veiga has featured heavily in cup competitions this season, but rarely in the World Cup Premier League.
CM: Romeo Lafia – Injuries halted an impressive campaign from Lafia, who missed out on victory last Sunday. However, the midfielder should be fit and available for the trip to Goodison.
Midfielder: Enzo Fernandez – Maresca won't want Enzo at the pivot, so will free him up by having Caicedo drift into midfield from right-back. Fernandes has been one of the Blues' standout players in recent weeks, enjoying the freedom to move forward.
RM: Pedro Neto – Neto is yet to shine in Chelsea colors, but he has certainly shown his talent and could be preferred over Noni Madueke on Sunday. Neto was absent from the team last week.
AM: Cole Palmer – The Blues could do with another outing for Palmer similar to his recent performance against the Toffees. Palmer scored four goals in the 6-0 win Back in April.
LM: Jadon Sancho – Sancho will make this place his own. He has been fantastic since returning from injury, and his newfound willingness to shoot will only enhance his ability as a playmaker.
ST: Nicholas Jackson – Jackson will have to work hard to have his chances against the strong one Everton A back line that defends their penalty area well. The two midfielders will aim to limit the number of times they have to track the Chelsea striker down the channels.
