Celtic Challenge: Wolfhounds recorded a huge win over Glasgow in Belfast

The Wolfhounds returned to winning ways in the Celtic Challenge with a 48-7 win over Glasgow Warriors at Kingspan Stadium.

After losing to the Clovers last time out, the Wolfhounds took an early lead when Stacey Flood offloaded the ball to Linda Djougang, who crossed with Dannah O'Brien converting.

The home side had their second try 14 minutes later as patient play allowed Flood to find Katie Corrigan wide for a touchdown and O'Brien added the extras from the tee.

Erin King then crashed twice, Niamh O'Dowd smashed her way through and Corrigan scored another goal to extend the Wolfhounds' lead before half-time.

Corrigan completed her hat-trick shortly after the restart, curling a shot into the corner.

Glasgow were much improved in the second half and got their first and only try after 55 minutes when captain Eli Tucker volleyed over with Briar McNamara starting the conversion.

Eve Higgins raced through the gap to score the Wolfhounds' eighth and final try to seal the victory.
