Was the Tiger profession different without Williams?
Williams had already been of the first degree for more than 20 years and worked for the main winners Greg Norman and Raymond Floyd when he replaced Mike “Fluf” in Woods in March 1999, where it became clear as the priorities of the future Grand Slame winner stood.
“When I went to take the job with Tiger and talked to him about what his plan is and what his goals were, it was tremendous importance in the major championships,” Williams explained.

“After his victory in The Masters (1997), he did not win another major championship when I entered the bag in 1999. With every specialty that passes, it is a lower chance to win one weapon and did not get his career on the path he wanted to get. I could feel it immediately.”
The couple was a great success later that year in the PGA championship, as Williams's decision to cancel Woods on the penultimate hole led them to see Sergio Garcia in Medina.
“The tiger read the bot and said that he was out of the hole, but I assured him that he was inside the hole – it was a big call,” Williams confessed. “This is the first time that we have an opportunity to win a desire. It is actually a little stumbled in the extension and Sergio (Garcia) got the crowd behind it.

“I knocked on that boot and who knows where his career has gone if he did not knock on this and continued to overcome Sergio. The second pioneer I feel is the most difficult victory and waited for the number of great players, who achieved the players who won only in only one major championship.
“It is clear that Tiger won this in 1999, so it did not start in 2000 with this additional pressure to try to win this second custom and start this running. Woods won three of the four majors in 2000, including the US Open and conquest with standard margins, before winning a master's degree in April the next four majors at the same time.

“Everything was towards breaking Jack (Nickelos) from 18 main championships,” Williams said. “With the passage of every year and passed every specialty, there was more and more pressure on it. There and then, I really thought it would break it.
